Colton Dixon Teases New Music Video for ‘Giants’

Colton Dixon shared a snippet of a new video where he sings his song “Giants” from the “Canvas” EP.

In the video shared on Instagram, Dixon is passionately singing the song while on the edge of a forest full of dead branches and leafless trees.

“Giants” encourages listeners to hold their ground against the biggest hurdles in life and watch God bring them crashing down. If we stand firm and keep our faith in God, we will watch our giants fall.

The song is part of Dixon’s EP “Canvas,” which the singer released last year during his “Build a Boat” tour. The EP explores the way that we are all blank canvases that God uses to tell His story.

“Life is all about perspective – how we view the various seasons that life has to offer,” Dixon said when he released the EP last April. “Every day is a blank canvas to live life to the fullest, and to view the world and the people around us in a new light. I hope you find that in these songs.”

“I know that these songs are coming at the right time,” he later added. “They came at the perfect time for me. As I was writing them, they were songs that I needed to hear in the midst of all the chaos that’s in the world today…I just want to give [listeners] some tools to tackle whatever the world’s throwing at you.”

Though the “Build a Boat” tour ended last fall, Dixon has continued to tour and bring his music to millions of fans nationwide. He is currently on the second round of the “Love & Light” tour with Jordan Feliz.

Meanwhile, Dixon has continued writing new music, which he teased may be coming “sooner than you think.”

Christian artist Colton Dixon might be on tour, but that’s not stopping him from creating an exciting new project — an EP called Canvas.

Dixon started the project on his “Build a Boat” tour, writing a song called “Canvas.”

“I’m always writing new music,” he told CBN News, adding that he and his co-writer, Daniel Wright Goldberger, “weren’t even supposed to write” the day they made “Canvas.”

“God just dropped His bomb on us,” Dixon continued. “[The song is] about how we’re all blank canvases and, I know me personally, I want God to paint His pictures through me and tell His story through me.”
