Disney+ will now enable independent creators to share their own content on the platform.
In collaboration with Pocket.Watch, the streamer will now feature shows and shorts from little known creators who already work with Pocket.Watch. This move will give hard-working creators the chance to share their content in a collection on Disney+ called “Creators Collection By Pocket.watch.”
Pocket.Watch describes itself as “A digital-first studio building franchises for the next generation of families: a fresh, industry-disrupting approach to forging franchises for Generation Alpha. We are the only kids and family digital focused studio that delivers 7.4 BILLION views every month — and growing.”
The company adds, “We’re on a mission to transform the top-performing family YouTube channels into multi-category global franchises, and we’ve got it all — The Stars, The Shows, and The Goods — to bring kids more of what they love everywhere that kids play.”

Pocket.watch boasts some well-known independent creators including Ryan’s World, Toys and Colors, Jason Vlogs and Daniel LaBelle. RYAN’S WORLD THE MOVIE: TITAN UNIVERSE ADVENTURE made its way to Hulu and Peacock last year.
Currently the Creators Collection By Pocket.watch features lots of LILO & STITCH-based content following the movie’s release earlier this year.
Some of these titles include WHY EXPERIMENT 626 BECAME STITCH, HOW STITCH GOT HIS VOICE and HOW TO BAKE A STITCH CAKE.
This collaboration between Pocket.watch and Disney+ indicates a groundbreaking shift in the streaming industry.
“This development could signal a shift in the way Disney+ approaches streaming, adding more interactive and personalized experiences for viewers,” Fiction Horizon reported. “By including creator-driven content, the platform is testing new ways to engage audiences beyond traditional studio productions.”
This isn’t the first time Pocket.watch has expanded it’s reach through popular streaming platforms. Earlier this year, the company announced partnerships with Peacock, Hulu and Amazon Kids+.
“They drive tons of engagement, subscriber growth and retention, and there’s simply no content that resonates with them as powerfully and consistently as creator content…transforming this content, at scale, into high-quality, kid-safe, enriching shows that are ready for premium services,” David B. Williams, SVP/GM Channels at Pocket.watch, previously said of the expansion of kids entertainment
He added, “We use Reels and TikTok primarily as a promotional tool to reach parents as they are not legally approved for use by kids under 13 the way YouTube is. We’re optimistic about the platforms’ future if government, legal compliance and strong kids’ safety measures are introduced.”
Be on the lookout for new Pocket.watch content coming to Disney+.
