Doja Cat’s ‘Demons’ Music Video Promotes Satanic Content

By Movieguide® Contributor

Rap artist Doja Cat’s new music video “Demons” is Hollywood’s latest celebration of satanic content.

The music video, which has garnered over 8.7 million views, features WEDNESDAY actress Christina Ricci.

“Adorned in all-black, down to the tip of her razor-cut stilettos, Doja haunts Ricci (known for her 1991 spearheading role as Wednesday in THE ADDAMS FAMILY) throughout ‘Demons.’ After purchasing a new house with high hopes, Ricci’s family quickly learns that the home is haunted by a devilish creature—aka Doja Cat,” Variety reported.

Content like this isn’t new for Hollywood as musicians, actors and franchises continue to produce satanic and demonic products.

Movieguide® previously reported on Disney’s show OWL HOUSE, which “is about a teenager who finds herself stuck in the ‘Demon Realm’ and battles in a demonic realm alongside a rebellious witch and a pint-sized warrior.”

Disney+’s series PAULINE also promoted satanic themes.

Movieguide® reported:

Disney+ has greenlit a new German original series, PAULINE, that follows a love story between a teenage girl and the devil.

“Pauline follows the eponymous protagonist, an 18-year-old who accidentally becomes pregnant – from a one-night stand. With school stress, the climate crisis and the downfall of society weighing heavily on her mind, something she doesn’t need at all right now is catching feelings, especially not for her one-night stand Lukas, who, as it turns out, is the devil himself,” Deadline reported of the series.

Rapper Lil Nas X created a “Satan Shoe” with the company MSCHF. Movieguide® reported:

The shoes explicitly allude to Satan with a pentagram pendant and a reference to “Luke 10:18”, which says: “And he said to them, ‘I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven.’”

Moreover, the shoes contain a drop of human blood in each pair’s sole, and only 666 pairs are available to buy.

As content like this proliferates throughout entertainment, parents should be aware of the materials their children may come across. Protecting children from satanic content like this will preserve their faith and innocence and help them avoid temptation.

The rise of blatant satanic content proves the importance of educating the hearts and minds of our families to be aware of Satan prowling around like a roaring lion.

Movieguide® frequently advocates for media literacy and shares tips on how parents can teach their children to be discerning against demonic content.

Movieguide® reported:

Teach your children how the media communicates its message. Just as children spend the first 14 years of their lives learning grammar with respect to the written word, they also need to be taught the grammar of twenty-first-century mass media so that they can think critically about the messages being programmed for them.

…Help your children know the fundamentals of Christian faith. Children need to be taught the fundamentals of Christian faith so that they can apply their beliefs and moral values to the culture and to the mass media of entertainment. Of course, parents typically have an easier time than teachers with this Key because they can freely discuss their personal beliefs. Yet, even so, it is interesting to note that cultural and media literacy and values education are two of the fastest growing areas in the academic community – a trend most likely due to the fact that educators are beginning to realize that something is amiss.

…Help your children learn how to ask the right questions. When children know the right questions to ask, they can arrive at the right answers to the problems presented by the mass media of entertainment. For instance, if the hero in the movie your child is watching wins by murdering and mutilating his victims, will your children be able to question this hero’s behavior, no matter how likable that character may be?
