BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE, a new family-friendly movie from Great American Family, will release this Easter season, and its star, Shae Robins, wanted to share an important lesson she learned from her character.

“Set against the fast-paced world of high fashion and the enduring charm of small-town life, BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE follows Katie (Robins), a driven New York fashion designer with only three weeks to develop a collection that could launch her brand to national prominence,” GAF’s synopsis reads. “Under mounting pressure and searching for inspiration, Katie returns to her hometown where she chooses an unexpected venue to unveil her work – her late grandmother’s beloved seamstress shop, Charlotte’s Thread.”

As we would suspect, Katie connects with a former flame, Luke, played by Casey Elliott, and “as their lives intertwine once more, the two discover that inspiration is not found in deadlines or demand – but in the timeless values of home, heritage, and hope.”

“I want to talk to you a little bit about something my character, Katie, experiences in this film,” Robins began an Instagram Reel.

“So, throughout the film, she starts to experience these feelings of doubt and insecurity and not feeling like she is enough, not feeling like her work is enough,” the actress described. “And so often, many of us, all of us, relate to those same feelings, not feeling like we are doing enough or that we are enough.”

Robins continued, “But at the end of the day, what’s the most important thing is to remember that we are enough in the person’s eyes who matters the most. In God’s eyes, you are enough to Him, and so when you are feeling those feelings of doubt and feelings of insecurity and worth, just remember that you’ve got a loving Heavenly Father who knows you perfectly. And in His eyes, you are everything. You are enough, and you are loved. God’s got you.”

People in the comment section appreciated the reminder.

“Love it, Shae! Thanks for sharing. God’s always got us. Always. The miracles that we both have seen can attest to this. Keep being that light in the world,” one fan wrote. Another added, “Beautiful message in this movie!”

Robins’ message echoes words found in 1 John 3:1, which says, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE is the first movie to join GAF’s new Golden Thread collection.

“At Great American Media, we believe faith is not something that appears only in moments of crisis,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, said. “The Golden Thread reflects the reality that faith is part of the entire journey of life. It’s present in the joyful moments, the difficult seasons and the everyday experiences in between. These stories will entertain while demonstrating that faith is the very fabric of our lives, and is woven throughout life’s journey, guiding decisions, relationships and purpose along the way.”

BLESSINGS IN DISGUISE premieres on Saturday, March 28, at 8/7c.
