GAF’s Holiday lineup starts Oct. 17, and the fun doesn’t stop until the New Year.
“On Wednesday, Aug. 28, the channel unveiled a first look at their 2024 lineup of Christmas movies, which includes new festive films starring Candace Cameron Bure, Mario Lopez, Danica McKellar and Cameron Mathison,” PEOPLE reported. “Beginning Oct. 17, Great American Family will kick off its fourth year of Great American Christmas with 24/7 holiday movies airing through December.”
The channel will feature 16 new Christmas movies. The shenanigans spread from royal holiday ventures and weddings to the plight of a humble wreath maker.
“Previous Great American Family favorites starring Chad Michael Murray, Jennie Garth and Daniel Lissing will also debut on the channel’s companion streaming service Pure Flix,” PEOPLE said.
“Great American Christmas has quickly become a highly valued holiday tradition,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO of Great American Media. “Our early success is owed to our incredible family of talent and a commitment to storytelling that embodies the true spirit of Christmas — the holiday as it’s meant to be celebrated. Stories about love, faith, hope, and joy set us apart from others simply making movies in holiday settings.”
Here are the new movies viewers can look forward to:
Candace Cameron Bure and Eric Johnson take a wintery road trip in A CHRISTMAS LESS TRAVELLED. Trevor Donovan, Jen Lilley, Jillian Murray, Laura Osnes, Julia Reilly, Jesse Hutch and Gladys Knight make up a modern version of The Little Women in A LITTLE WOMEN’S CHRISTMAS. Husband and wife duo Alexa and Carlos PenaVega team up for GET HIM BACK FOR CHRISTMAS.
Movieguide® reported Carlos’ enthusiasm for GET HIM BACK FOR CHRISTMAS:
“I think this movie in particular is really special because, basically, we were given the opportunity to produce this one. Like, this is our, our production company. It’s the first one that we’ve been able to actually produce together, and from the ground up,” Carlos said. “So, for us, this is super special in getting to live out these characters on the screen. I mean, I’ve had so much fun.”
Ferelith Young and Harmon Walsh quilt a heart-warming love story in THE FABRIC OF CHRISTMAS. Brittany Underwood and Jonathan Stoddard discover romance on the stage in A ROYAL CHRISTMAS BALLET, while Danica McKellar and Oliver Rice dance their way to enchanting castles in A CINDERELLA CHRISTMAS BALL.
McKellar previously gushed about her co-star: “Oliver Rice exudes a dashing Cary Elwes-vibe. Oliver grew up in London and graduated from Oxford School of Drama and brings genuine nobility to the role of Prince Phillip. I cannot wait for fans to see him in the film.”
Mitchell Bourke and Rhiannon Fish take the lead in A CHRISTMAS CASTLE PROPOSAL. Jill Winternitz and Dominic Watters create Christmas-time community in CHRISTMAS IN SCOTLAND. Merritt Patterson and Christopher Russell take viewers on a heartfelt battle for a small town’s historic post office in VINTAGE CHRISTMAS.
Jill Wagner and Jesse Hutch take the lead in SLEIGH BELLS AND SUGAR PLUMS, while Ash Tsai and Eric Guillmette warm hearts and wag tails in A SHELTER AND SEASON’S GREETINGS. Erin Agostino and Harmon Walsh light the way in CHRISTMAS BY CANDLELIGHT. And COUPLED UP FOR CHRISTMAS has Sara Canning and Marcus Rosner vying for each other’s attention over holiday festivities.
WREATHMAKER CHRISTMAS features Kristin Wollett and Casey Elliott, while HOME SWEET CHRISTMAS features Candace Cameron Bure and Cameron Mathison’s adventures on a maple syrup farm. ONCE UPON A CHRISTMAS WISH stars Mario Lopez and Courtney Lopez.
The husband and wife duo will also be joined by their son, Dominic Lopez, in the movie.
“We could not imagine better creative partners to join our Great American team than Mario and Courtney Lopez,” said Bill Abbott, President & CEO, Great American Media. “Mario and Courtney and the team around them are creative collaborators and absolutely devoted to telling stories that bring families together. The partnership is a Christmas wish come true for our company.”
