DUCK DYNASTY stars Willie and Korie Robertson shared the secrets to their 33-year marriage, from a strong foundation of faith to always “giv[ing] more than you take.”
“We work hard on our relationship,” Korie told Fox News. “We turn back in. I think there are times in 33 years of marriage and whatever marriage, you’re going to start drifting apart if you’re not careful… we always are just really careful to turn back to one another.”
She added, “Our faith has been a huge part of that, in our commitment to God. It fuels our commitment to one another. When the going gets tough … stay in there. Commit to one another and your family. It’s so worth it.”
Willie shared his own piece of advice, too — “Try to give more than you take.”
“Especially in marriage…trying not to take, you know?” he continued. “I got to…give more than I’m putting in. And there’s times where you’re obviously going to need to take…but that’s kind of a mindset I’ve always had.”
The couple’s strong relationship has seen them through plenty of ups and downs, including their time in the spotlight on reality TV.
“We can look back and be like, ‘God, thank you for all the things you brought us through,’ because you brought us right here,” Korie said. “It didn’t come with this perfect trajectory — there’s lots of ups and downs. But stay in there.”

The couple and their family recently returned to the small screen with DUCK DYNASTY: THE REVIVAL, saying it was their commitment to sharing their faith that drew them back into the world of TV.
“That’s a big part of why we’re still in entertainment,” Korie told Yahoo! “The first time around, we saw the impact — people telling us how meaningful it was to see a family of faith on TV. That’s why we do the podcast, write the books [and] came back to television. Our prayer is always to be a light in the world.”
Willie added, “And to show that you can have faith and still be normal. You don’t have to be a preacher. We’re not trying to convert everyone. We just live our lives and show it through how we love each other.”
In another recent interview with Fox News, the Robertsons reflected on the impact DUCK DYNASTY had on their kids and how it has influenced them over the years, specifically daughter Sadie Robertson Huff, who is a podcaster and author, as well as the leader of the Live Original ministry.
“She’s always been open about her life, her struggles, the good, the bad,” Korie said. “That’s what people connected to…I’m proud of her — and all of our kids — for being lights in the world and saying, ‘We’re not perfect…but here’s what God’s teaching us in it.’ And hopefully we’re doing that through the show, too.”
For families around the world, the Robertsons are an inspiration, sharing their faith and family values through their work in the entertainment world.
