Invite Your Friends to Church. It Might Just Change Their Lives.

Sadie Robertson Huff spoke with her new friends Brittany Martin and Alyson Owen about how Martin found God through her friendship with Owen.
Martin shared that she was baptized as a child but didn’t really know God.
“I had been baptized before as a child, probably I think I was like 6 or 7. I was like really young,” she said on Huff’s podcast. “[I] just didn’t truly know what that meant in all honesty. I’m 33, and as my life has gone on, I have experienced, starting in childhood, things that I don’t think any child should see or experience.”
Martin’s husband followed Jesus and was patient with her through her journey and struggles with faith. Earlier this year, though, Owen invited Martin to a Bible study, and from that point, her life began to change. Huff commented on how only God could transform a person that quickly.
“You see a post on a Bible study, you dive into a Bible study, fast forward to August you get baptized, become a new creation. You’re on this podcast in October…like this is…it’s crazy,” Huff said.
Martin celebrated her baptism on Instagram earlier this year.
“My testimony is long and messy. I’ve prayed so many prayers asking God to bring people into my life that would bring me closer to Him because I knew that He was the only way, I also knew I couldn’t do it on my own, and wow He answered in only a way that He could,” she wrote on Aug. 11. “So thankful for the unconditional love of Jesus and the amazing people that He has brought into my life, they truly have no idea the impact they’ve made and that each and every single one of them are an answered prayer. Feeling FREE baby.”
“The only thing that made that possible was God. That couldn’t have been any other…I shouldn’t even be living here honestly,” she told Huff.
After committing her life to Christ, Martin attended Huff’s LO Sister Conference in September.
“My first LO Conference and I am without speech. What an unforgettable weekend spent worshiping Jesus with my sweet sister and 4,000 others! Thank you Jesus for Sadie and her entire team for such an incredible experience. Already counting down until next year! 🤍🕊️” she said.
Only God can take someone who is lost and broken and transform them instantly. 2 Corinthians 5:17 says, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come. The old has gone, the new is here!” This is what happened to Martin, and it can happen to you as well.
