Actor Jesse Hutch just teased a new project, promising fans an “incredible story of reconnection, forgiveness and redemption.”

“New ROLE,” he posted on Instagram, along with some on-set photos. “Trust me when I say this is a character like nothing you have ever seen me play. Based on a true story. Quirky. Fun. Serious. Dramatic. Wild. No holds barred.”

Hutch continued, “This short film is an incredible story of reconnection, forgiveness and redemption. You will probably laugh and cry and chuckle. Also, check my character’s belt buckle. Can you guess his name? Coming soon. Get excited.”

While fans have a while to go before they’ll know what project Hutch is teasing on social media, there are still plenty of opportunities to see the actor onscreen — including CROSSROAD SPRINGS, a new family drama that debuted on Pure Flix and Great American Family in August.

In addition to Hutch, the show’s cast includes Jonathan Stoddard, Emily Alalato, Shaun Johnston, Kate Drummond, Brittany Underwood, Jon McLaren, Erin Agostino and Franco Lo Presti.

“We are very proud to introduce our audience to this new series,” Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, said in a statement about the show. “Like our other Original series, CROSSROAD SPRINGS furthers our mission to create meaningful content anchored in timeless values. With compelling storytelling, heartfelt performances, and themes that encourage and inspire, CROSSROAD SPRINGS continues the Great American Media tradition of wholesome entertainment for the entire family.”

Hutch also appeared in Angel Studios’ HOMESTEAD, which premiered last winter.

“I think we are able to create an amazing world and I am excited to see what people think of it,” he said in an interview with Digital Journal. “Angel Studios has been great in every turn; everybody was bringing their A-game.”

Hutch continued, “I hope HOMESTEAD becomes a catalyst to bring people together. I hope it allows people to take more judgment out of the equation, and instead just be where you are, and work from there. Don’t be afraid of the things you don’t see anymore, just deal with what is on your front step.”

“We need to have more grace for each other, and for ourselves because a lot of people are really hard on themselves,” he concluded.

There’s no word yet on when fans can expect to see the short movie Hutch teased on Instagram, but in the meantime, he’ll still be appearing in new episodes of CROSSROAD SPRINGS, every Saturday.
