Jill Wagner Shares Sweet Stories Behind Favorite Christmas Ornaments

By Movieguide® Contributor

Great American Family actress Jill Wagner loves Christmas ornaments, and she shared a few of her favorites in a recent video.

“I love ornaments, I probably have way too many,” she shared, “but here [are] a few of the ones I love.”

“First one, I don’t think this one needs any explanation,” Wagner said as she held up a hockey-playing polar bear. “I’ve also got the net. He is a goalie, which is what my husband was…my husband played hockey, and he was a goalie, so there’s that.

“Here’s another one. It’s a little bird, and one of my most precious friends Wendell, she is known for her eyelashes. She has amazing, long, fluttery eye lashes, and when I bought this bird, it reminded me of her eyelashes,” she laughed, holding a very feathery bird ornament.

“This one also needs no explanation,” she continued, holding up an ornament that reads “Mr. & Mrs. EST. 2017.”

Wagner shared a few more favorites, including a dragonfly that her dad said reminded him of her because “They’re beautiful…and they’re kind of mysterious, and they’re very fast, and they’re always busy, and they’re always doing something.”

She concluded by sharing a special glass ornament that her husband got her.

“There [are] our Christmas letters in there,” she said, holding a glass ornament with folded-up paper inside. “These are the first Christmas letters that we did when we were in our house…We write letters to each other every year, so that’s something special that we kind of, you know, just a memory.”

For Wagner, Christmas is about time with family. A recent Instagram post shows her posing with husband, David Lemanowicz, and daughters, Army and Daisy.

“The first and last photo is the real deal…all of the others are pure luck,” she wrote. “I feel like we all can relate to these family photo pictures. They’re nothing like they seem but they are priceless.”

The actress recently starred in GAF’s BRINGING CHRISTMAS HOME, which premiered in October. It earned a +4 content rating from Movieguide®. Part of the review reads:

BRINGING CHRISTMAS HOME is a soulful, impressive combination of sleuthing, romance, patriotism, and Christmas spirit. Russell Carlisle, an antique dealer, and his sister, find a highly decorated World War II uniform with a love letter and Christmas card in the coat pocket. Russell teams up with a professor of military history, retired U. S. Army Major Caroline Upton, to find potential family members connected to the uniform. The solution to the mystery gets closer through interviews with people who know only a piece of the puzzle. They usually refer Caroline and Russell to someone else who knows something more. Meanwhile, Russell and Caroline begin to have feelings for one another.

The actors in BRINGING CHRISTMAS HOME do a sparkling job with their already well thought-out script. Kudos should also go to the directing, cinematography, and the production design. They all come together to tell an absorbing, entertaining and moving story. Airing on the Great American Family network, BRINGING CHRISTMAS HOME also has a strong moral, patriotic worldview stressing personal sacrifice, honorable and heroic military service, bravery, patriotism, healthy relationships, family, and hard work.
