Kristen Bell, best known for voicing Princess Anna in Disney’s hit FROZEN, publicly disputed recent reports about her compensation for the upcoming sequels, and she’s not going to “let it go.”
Recent reports have rumored her pay for the sequels to be over $60 million each for FROZEN 3 and FROZEN 4, but Bell says that’s simply not true.
“I think there’s been a lot misreported about that FROZEN deal,” she told Entertainment Tonight. “No, no, no, no, no that’s somebody making a lot of things up.”
She did emphasize her gratitude for what the role gives her.
“But that said, am I happy to have that job and does it pay very well because it’s a successful franchise? Yes. And I’m so grateful for it and I will continue to do it for the rest of my life if they’ll have me,” she emphasized.

FROZEN has been massively successful since its first installment in 2013, and the sequel was even more popular. The original grossed $1.3 billion, while FROZEN 2 made $1.45 billion, which was the highest animated movie ever at the time. FROZEN 3 is planned to release in November of 2027, and FROZEN 4 will come sometime after that.
Josh Gad, who plays Olaf in the franchise, recently teased that production for the third movie may have begun. In a post to Instagram last month, he said, “3rd time is always the charm ☃️ Time to build another snowman. #frozen3”
People in the comment section showed excitement for the upcoming new release.
“⛄️ I am grateful to see everyone’s favorite Snowman is back for FROZEN 3!” one person said. Another fan added, “Yay! I’m so excited about FROZEN 3 ⛄️”
It’s sure to be worth the wait.
“The story that I’ve been kind of previewed is the grandest story we’ve ever done,” Gad previously said in an interview. “For me, my whole thing was don’t do a sequel unless there’s a reason to do a sequel. If you have a story worth telling, then call us up and let’s do it.”
Movieguide®’s review for 2019’s FROZEN 2 reads, “FROZEN II provides exceptional, funny, exciting entertainment, with powerful plot points, great animation and a beautiful soundtrack. The movie has a somewhat allegorical Christian, moral worldview. It exalts sacrifice, doing the right thing, friendship, marriage, prayer, and knowing truth.”
Movieguide® notes, “A few scenes in FROZEN II might scare some younger children. So, MOVIEGUIDE® advises caution for young viewers.”
Regardless of the actor’s pay or when the movie releases, we can trust it will be full of adventure and continue an already beloved story.
