Christian author Lee Strobel spends his career seeking answers to the spiritual and theological questions that few dare to ask, including about the supernatural.
“We hear stories all the time about the supernatural — miraculous healings, unexplained sightings, near-death experiences — but how do we know what is real?” The Case for Christ author pondered in a recent Instagram post. “Are rumors of spiritual beings, healings, and prophetic dreams dangerous deceptions, or is there something important for us to explore? Read along in Seeing the Supernatural as I examine the evidence and considers how we should think about the unseen world — and the God who made and rules over it.”

His book Seeing the Supernatural released in March 2025.
A description of the book reads, “In Seeing the Supernatural, Lee weaves together his best material from several previous books with dynamic new and never-published interviews to investigate what the Bible really teaches about the unseen world.”
It continues, “As he asks scholars the very questions you have about otherworldly experiences, Lee will help you: Better understand how God chooses to work in the fascinating supernatural realm — and why it is important, Avoid common mistakes people make, including both ignoring the supernatural and becoming obsessed with it, Have answers ready for when you face objections or deceptions that are common in a world of supernatural counterfeits, Draw closer to God as you catch glimpses of his power and glory in ways you don’t typically experience.”
“The Bible teaches that there is a realm beyond what we can see and touch,” Strobel told Cissie Graham Lynch last year of the book. “We ought to be familiar with it.”
The book’s topic coincided with his new documentary THE CASE FOR MIRACLES, which Movieguide® nominated for the Alethia: Best Documentary Prize Movieguide® award.
“THE CASE FOR MIRACLES is an interesting documentary that presents Strobel’s research and data in a clear, concise, entertaining way,” part of Movieguide®’s +3 content score review reads. “Viewers will enjoy hearing the personal stories of Strobel and Sandoval’s faith, the stories from real people Strobel has gathered, as well as the interviews of experts.”
Movieguide® continues, “THE CASE FOR MIRACLES has a strong Christian, biblical worldview focusing on the power of prayer and promoting rational belief miracles. THE CASE FOR MIRACLES has brief mentions of alcohol use and abuse, and a reference to someone’s father cheated on their mother. Otherwise, the movie is wholesome, inspiring and uplifting.”
Both Strobel’s book and documentary are incredible resources to explore what the Bible really says about miracles and the supernatural.
