Natalie Grant Celebrates Third No. 1 Album: ‘Just So Grateful’
By Movieguide® Contributor
Natalie Grant scored her third No. 1 album on the Billboard Hot Christian Albums chart with the release of “Seasons.”
“I’m just so grateful to continue doing what I love, and that people continue loving what I do!” Grant said about the milestone. “It’s all just such a gift. And to hear how these reimagined versions of classic songs are so deeply affecting people was the purpose behind this record in the first place. So, I feel very fulfilled today.”
Grant also posted about the No. 1 certification on Instagram.
“Honestly – I’m just so grateful,” the singer wrote. “Next year I’ll celebrate 25 years of being in this industry, and to still get the privilege of celebrating something like this is just incredible.”
Grant thanked her “incredible team,” from the record company, her producer and “all the musicians, engineers and mixers – thank you for your genius work.”
“To all of my beautiful artist friends and collaborators, I’ll never get over that you said yes to being a part of this,” she finished. “Thank you. Jesus be praised. Love y’all!”
“Seasons” sees Grant pair up with notable artists like Dolly Parton, CeCe Winans, Cory Asbury and many others for covers of hit songs like “Bridge Over Troubled Water” and “Step By Step.”
“Sometimes you hear the word ‘cover record,’ and it has this connotation of ‘Oh, it’s a filler record between the last originals records and whatever’s next,’” Grant told Billboard. “But there’s no filler record with this — this is my life record.”
In addition to the Billboard No. 1, “Seasons” also shot to the top of the iTunes charts soon after its release.
Movieguide® recently spoke with Grant about finding her identity in Christ after receiving a thyroid cancer diagnosis.
“If I’m honest, I’ve spent so many years of my life saying, ‘Singing is not who I am. It’s just what I do. It’s not my identity. It’s just what I get to do.’ Until they say you may never sing again, and I was like ‘I’m lying it’s totally who I am!’ Like I had a complete I had a complete identity crisis,” Grant told Movieguide®.
“I really am daughter of the King. I am wife of Bernie. I am mother of Gracie, Bella and Sadie, and if all of the singing goes away, I am still more blessed than I can even fathom,” she explained.

Movieguide® previously reported on her collaboration with Parton:
Christian artist and nine-time Grammy award nominee Natalie Grant has released a new single with Dolly Parton as part of her new album, “Seasons.”
The duo covered Whitney Houston’s “Step By Step,” “dubbed one of Houston’s best songs,” marking the first time Grant and Parton have recorded together.
Grant shared her personal connection with the song.
“In 1996, ‘Step By Step’ is a song I would blast on cassette in my beat up Volkswagen Golf as I drove to my job at Medicare,” she shared. “The dream when I moved to Nashville was music, not Medicare, but I had to do what was necessary to keep going.”
“This song was my reminder to keep putting one foot in front of the other. If you would’ve told me then that one day, I would not only be recording this song, but doing it with an international icon, I never ever would’ve believed it. I still can’t believe it,” the singer reflected.
