Danny Gokey wants you to know that, no matter what’s happening in your life, you have a “hope to cling to” — Jesus.

“There’s a hope we can cling to / When it all falls apart / And a truth we can trust in / In a world that’s so dark / Your Word has always stood / Your ways are always good,” the AMERICAN IDOL alum sings in his 2024 hit track “Still On The Throne.”

The Christian singer just reminded his fans of that truth in a recent Instagram post of him singing the song.

“A hope to cling to. A truth to trust in ~➡️ His Word still stands and His ways are still good, no matter what you’re facing!” he wrote.

“Still On The Throne” is on Danny Gokey’s fifth studio album, Sound of Heaven.

“Heaven is more than just one sound. I believe that the diversity of songs on ‘Sound Of Heaven’ is a reflection of the wide variety of sounds and music we’ll get to hear in heaven!” Gokey told CCM the meaning behind the album. “From worship to pop and Latin to Afrobeats, there really is something here for everyone, and my ultimate desire is for people to know that no matter who they are or what they’ve done, there’s room for them inside His love, and heaven is a celebration that EVERYONE is invited to!”

“The phrase ‘sound of heaven,’ and the songs on this album, will mean different things to different people in different places of life, but each one communicates the hopeful messages of heaven, no matter what season they’re in,” he added. “With all the noise in our culture threatening to distract and overwhelm us, may this album be a reminder to focus on the ‘sound of heaven’ that gives us the joy, strength and encouragement needed to live life abundantly with God!”

Danny Gokey and Tasha Layton announced the Sound of Heaven Tour in February.

“Here to confirm that the big news is TRUE! We’re going on tour together again this spring and we CAN. NOT. WAIT! Grab your tickets. Grab your cameras. And join us for a newsworthy night that you don’t want to miss!” Gokey posted on his social media.

The tour will kick off tomorrow, May 1, in Jackson, Missouri, and end on Aug. 2, in Duluth, Minnesota. Gokey and Layton will also tour internationally in Australia and Guatemala.

No matter where he goes, Danny Gokey proclaims the hope of Jesus to all his fans through songs like “Still On The Throne.”
