Orlando Magic’s Jonathan Isaac: ‘Christ’s Love’ Is the Answer
By Movieguide® Contributor
Orlando Magic power forward, Jonathan Isaac, continues to move against the grain in this world by continually putting his faith in Jesus first.
Movieguide® recently reported on Isaac’s faith:
Through his book “Why I Stand,” Isaac explains what he hopes people will gain from hearing his story.
“But the thing that gives me, I would say, hope not just because we know that, you know, Jesus has overcome the world and all these different things, but we’re going to go home and all that is great,” he said on Sports Spectrum’s podcast. “But that as the world continues to get darker, the light will continue to get brighter.”
“And so what I’m hoping is that during these times and even with the book, that more people will adopt the message, more people will stand for what they believe in, but stand in love,” Isaac added.
“And I know that’s going to win people. I don’t know if we can win everybody, but we can start with one and continue to grow,” he continued. “And, you know, the harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few, and so on.”
In a new video shared by Christhlete on Instagram, Isaac shared why he believes Christs love is the answer for the world.
“Christ’s love isn’t like anybody else’s love. It’s not like the world’s love. The world loves you when you do things right or when you do things with them. But as soon as you make a mistake they take that love away,” Isaac explained.
“But what I’ve experienced with the love of Christ is that it loves first,” he continued. “It loves through wrongdoing. It loves when you shouldn’t be loved anymore. It’s unconditional. And that’s the love that I believe is going to change the world and has changed me.”
Isaac often shares his faith through his social media platforms.
On Instagram, Isaac shared a series of photos of him and captioned the post, “Conquering – Roman’s 8:37 ????”
Roman’s 8:37 reads:
No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.
For those who have put their faith in Jesus, like Isaac, are conquerors because of Christ did for us on the cross.
