Real Life CASE FOR CHRIST Author Launches Center for Evangelism

The amazing story of Lee Strobel’s life-defining pursuit of Christ hit theaters in 2017 with THE CASE FOR CHRIST. Now, his passion for apologetics and biblical truth will be accessible for students through the Lee Strobel Center for Evangelism and Applied Apologetics at Colorado Christian University.

“As an evangelical university, we stand within the great tradition of Christian universities who are serious about faith and the Gospel, and we’re thrilled to have Lee Strobel join our team,” Colorado Christian University President Donald W. Sweeting said.

“Strobel’s background as a former atheist, portrayed in his book and film THE CASE FOR CHRIST, gives him valuable insight into how to reach people who are far from Christ, It is a Strategic Priority of Colorado Christian University to share the love of Christ on campus and around the world, and to teach our students to be evangelists. The Strobel Center at CCU is an incredible vehicle to enable us to make new strides to achieve these priorities,” Sweeting said.

Strobel, a former atheist who investigated the reality of Jesus during his time at The Chicago Tribune, is known for his factual approach to the gospel.

“We live in an increasingly skeptical and even hostile culture toward the Christian message, and apologetics, which is literally giving evidence for the faith, is increasingly important as a result,” Strobel told The Christian Post. “Apologetics gets people past their spiritual ‘sticking points.’ A lot of people in culture have objections, questions and doubts about God, and when we can give them a reason for these things, it can make great progress for God.”

Strobel rose in popularity in evangelical circles with his book “The Case for Christ.”

The book was first adapted into a DVD and later a feature movie by the same name.

Movieguide® declared the movie a “Must see” for both Christians and atheists.

THE CASE FOR CHRIST was one of Movieguide®’s 2017 Top Ten Best Movies for Families.
