The town of Brookfield is officially keeping its doors open! In a move that has fans of wholesome, redemptive television cheering, Great American Media announced that WHEN HOPE CALLS: BROOKFIELD has been renewed for a fourth season. The news comes on the heels of a triumphant third season that reinforced the show’s status as a cornerstone of faith-and-family programming.

For those of us at Movieguide®, this renewal is an answer to prayer. Our mission has always been to highlight media that honors God and promotes biblical values, and WHEN HOPE CALLS: BROOKFIELD does exactly that.

The series is a staple at the Movieguide® Faith & Values Awards Gala, and this year was no different. The show earned a prestigious nomination for Best Television for Families, a category that recognizes programs that provide a safe and uplifting environment for viewers of all ages.

On the red carpet, we spoke with the show’s leading lady, Cindy Busby. Her passion for the project is palpable.

“It means everything,” Busby said about the impact of telling these stories. “It’s so impactful to my community, to the people that I run into on the street, and also to the people that are a part of my life. To be able to share the movies that I’m a part of with my friends’ children and my cousins—it’s just really important to be able to all sit down together and watch…no matter what.”

Busby’s sentiment captures the very heart of why this show resonates so deeply. In a landscape often cluttered with cynicism, WHEN HOPE CALLS: BROOKFIELD offers a refreshing return to timeless virtues. This is due in no small part to the vision of Executive Producer Brad Krevoy.

Krevoy, the chairman and CEO of Motion Picture Corporation of America (MPCA), has become one of the most prolific architects of family-friendly content in the industry. Krevoy has spent the last decade pivoting toward “heart-and-home” storytelling.

He has helped create a “quality-first” ecosystem where faith isn’t just a footnote—it’s the foundation. Krevoy’s commitment to high production values ensures that shows like WHEN HOPE CALLS: BROOKFIELD look just as beautiful as the messages they carry.

Movieguide® recently reviewed several episodes from the latest season, including “Salvation,” which received a +3 rating for its strong Christian worldview and promotion of community sacrifice. We praised the series for its excellent wholesome content, noting that it consistently avoids the pitfalls of modern television by focusing on character growth, prayer, and the power of forgiveness.

As Bill Abbott, President and CEO of Great American Media, recently noted, this series is “built on a beloved foundation” and has all the ingredients of a “timeless franchise.”

With Season 4 now on the horizon, the future of Brookfield looks brighter than ever. For fans like Cindy Busby, who cross their fingers for more faith-filled stories, it seems those prayers have been answered.
