Actress Tamera Mowry-Housley recently shared three things she believes God is teaching her during this season of her life.

“The Lord has taught me a lot through this life, but here are three things that have been on my heart. ❤️” she wrote in the caption of an Instagram post earlier this month.

The post featured a photo reel with the three lessons.

“God’s timing is better than my own deadlines,” was her first point. She referenced Psalm 27:14, which says, “Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.”

For the second point, Mowry-Housley said, “My identity is rooted in Christ, not in other people’s opinions.” In Colossians 2:6-7, the Apostle Paul says, “So then, just as you received Christ Jesus as Lord, continue to live your lives in him, rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.”

This is an important reminder that, though life circumstances may change, staying rooted in Christ will keep us grounded in trying seasons.

For her third lesson, the TV personality shared, “I don’t have to have it all together for God to use me.” She referenced 2 Corinthians 12:9, which says, “He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.’ Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.”

People in the comment section thanked Mowry-Housley for sharing her wisdom.

“Amen! As a newer actor and Jesus lover, I love watching how you’ve navigated your career beautifully! ❤️❤️” one person said. Another fan added, “Amen! Praise Jesus! Thanks for using your platform to shine the love of Christ!”

Mowry-Housley frequently shares her biblical and family values openly despite being in Hollywood. Late last year, she wrote in a post, “Family is our safe place.”

“Grateful for the laughs, the lessons, the early mornings, the chaos, and the love that keeps us grounded. No matter what season we’re in, we show up for each other — growing, learning, and covering one another in prayer and grace,” she added.

She couldn’t be more grateful for the support her husband of 14 years, Adam Housley, gives her.

“He believes in me and my dreams. He wants to see me pursue them. He will hop on a plane, and he does it all…He cooks, he does my daughter’s hair, he drives them to school,” she said of him in a discussion with Parents.

Mowry-Housley’s reminder shows us that regardless of position, family and our relationship with God are all that truly matter.
