Tim and Demi-Leigh Tebow have been parents to daughter Daphne Reign for a month and recently shared the joy they have experienced in that short time.

“One month of Daphne 💕,” the couple wrote in a joint Instagram post. “31 days of hearing your little voice and learning what each sound means. 4 weeks of feeling your heartbeat in my arms, instead of waiting to hear it at the next appointment. A month of celebrating every ounce you gain and every smile you give. I’m praying with you now, not just for you. Holding your little feet instead of feeling your little kicks.”

“I constantly find myself in awe – I could watch and stare at you all day. One month of you and already, I can’t imagine my life without you!” the couple continued. “Thank you Jesus for the blessing of YOU.”

Baby Daphne was born on July 6. Even before she was born, the Tebows shared how excited they were to become parents. And after Daphne was born, they were so excited to celebrate the miracle of life that just entered their lives.

“Our daughter is here! We couldn’t be more grateful for the blessing and gift of this new little life,” Demi-Leigh wrote. “We’re so grateful to the whole medical team that assisted us in the best way possible during my labor and delivery. From our doctor to our nurses and all the hospital staff — we are so grateful and thankful for you.”

The couple has also shared that they chose the name Daphne to honor Demi-Leigh’s great aunt who stepped in as a strong older woman in her life after her grandmother passed away before she was born.

“Daphne is a name that’s been close to my heart since I was a little girl. I never got to meet my mom’s mother, but her sister, Daphne, stepped in as a grandma figure to me,” Demi-Leigh shared. “She was so special to my mom and I – a tiny, kind and strong South African woman who always had shortbread in the house, was the epitome of grit and grace, loved Jesus, had the voice of an angel and made everyone feel seen and special.”

“I used to tell my mom, ‘I want to be just like Ouma Daphne one day.’ I’ve loved this name since I was a little girl and for as long as I can remember I always said that if I ever get blessed with a daughter I’ll name her Daphne,” she continued. “Shortly after Tim and I got married, I shared that desire with him, and thankfully he loved the name just as much as I did!”

It is incredible to see just how much prayer and intentionality Tim and Demi-Leigh have taken as they step into this new phase of life. Their example will certainly encourage other new parents.
