UPtv just released its “Bring the Spring” schedule, offering new romance movies, TV series marathons and a new music special featuring Dennis Quaid.
“Every year UPtv is a top destination for viewers to celebrate the true meaning of Easter,” said Hector Campos, the senior vice president of content strategy and acquisition at UPtv. “This year’s offering continues to deliver on programming celebrating new beginnings and a season of renewal.”
Campos continued, “The ‘Bring the Spring’ slate features four contemporary movie premieres, marathons of fan-favorite series, Bible favorites and the World Premiere of DENNIS QUAID’S FALLEN: A GOSPEL RECORD FOR SINNERS. We invite families to the network to feel uplifted while also having a chance to win prizes.”
On the Sundays leading up to Palm Sunday and Easter, UPtv will show new movies like THE SINGLE’S GUIDEBOOK, A ROYAL MAKEOVER and SWEETLY SALTED.
On Palm Sunday, the network will air THE TEN COMMANDMENTS and THE CHOSEN.
DENNIS QUAID’S FALLEN: A GOSPEL RECORD FOR SINNERS will premiere on Good Friday.
“In addition to his soul-stirring renditions of seven hymns and classics and five original songs, the actor/singer/songwriter sits down with Gospel music legend Bill Gaither for an inspiring conversation, sharing his journey of redemption and message of eternal hope,” TV Insider reported.
Quaid’s latest album, “Fallen: A Gospel Record For Sinners,” was influenced by his “personal relationship” with God.
“I grew up at the Baptist church; I love the hymns that I remember from being a kid,” the actor told PEOPLE. “The songs are self-reflective and self-examining, not churchy. All of us have a relationship with God, whether you’re a Christian or not.”
Movieguide® previously reported on the success of Quaid’s album:
Movieguide® Award nominee Dennis Quaid recently released his new album “Fallen: A Gospel Record For Sinners,” which topped charts within the first week since its debut.
“In its first week out, the project debuted at No. 1 on the Top Christian/Gospel Albums chart. “Fallen” had a landmark first week on the Billboard Top 200 Christian/Gospel chart, too: It landed in the Top 15,” Taste of Country reported.
