Do You Want to Be Free? Tim Tebow Says Jesus’ Sacrifice is the Answer
By Movieguide® Contributor
Tim Tebow shared the gospel in a recent Instagram video, reminding viewers that Jesus’ sacrifice “set [us] free.”
He first read Romans 8:1 — “Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, because through Christ Jesus the law of the Spirit who gives life has set you free from the law of sin and death.”
“Guys, in Christ Jesus, we have been set free, so that now there is no condemnation,” Tebow explained. “The Creator of this universe, our Heavenly Father, is a just judge, but He’s also a loving father that knew that sin had to be paid for. My sin had to be paid for. And so He sent His son Jesus down to this earth to live a life that I couldn’t live, and He chose to die a death that I deserve to die.”
He continued, “That punishment was placed on Jesus, that condemnation was placed on Him, the guilty verdict was placed on Him so that when we believe in Him, we would be set free. Because His scars set me free. That punishment is now why we don’t have to sit in condemnation because it was placed on Jesus, our King, our Savior, our ransom. So we don’t have to live in condemnation. We get to live set free because of what Jesus has done for us.”
Tebow often shares messages of faith on social media. In one recent post, he challenged his followers to “choose courage.”
“In John 16:33 Jesus challenges us to be the courageous ones,” he captioned his post. “Why? Because life is hard. Jesus gets that! Today we take courage in our work, relationships, and callings because He courageously embraced death for us and lived to tell about it. Because of His courageous death and resurrection, we can now live courageously for Him.”

“We have to do everything we can to protect them,” he said of human trafficking victims. “To bring them out of this horrible evil and put them in a position where they can flourish, knowing their worth, and their value, and experiencing the faith, hope, and love that so many desperately deserve.”
He recently launched a campaign, UnKNOWN and UnFINISHED, intended to save children who are being trafficked.
“We call it Unknown and Unfinished, because we’ve got to get to as many of these boys and girls as possible,” Tebow explained. “And when we look at the scale, just so people can understand it … within the last 12 months, there’s been over 500,000 unique IP addresses that have downloaded or shared images or videos of children under the age of 12 being abused.”
