A new report found that WHEN CALLS THE HEART ranks No. 2 in 2023-24’s top non-sports cable shows.
“THE CURSE OF OAK ISLAND and WHEN CALLS THE HEART [are] in the top two spots,” The Hollywood Reporter wrote, listing their viewer averages as 3.14 million and 2.77 million, respectively.
WHEN CALLS THE HEART’s eleventh season has fans buzzing, especially after a recent episode revealed what happened the night Lucas (Chris McNally) was shot last season.
Andrea Brooks, who plays Faith, told TV Insider she had “shifting theories” about who the culprit was and revealed there were some scenes between her and McNally that were left on the cutting room floor.
“[They] had more to do with his injuries,” she explained of the scenes. “So that was sort of her preoccupation with the situation was just, ‘He’s my patient, let’s make sure that he’s okay so that he can continue on with his governor responsibilities.’”
Season 11 is drawing to a close, but don’t worry — WHEN CALLS THE HEART has already been renewed for a twelfth season.
“WHEN CALLS THE HEART continues to exceed our expectations and the number of fans and viewers continue to grow every year,” Lisa Hamilton Daly, the Executive Vice President of Programming at Hallmark said in a statement. “Bringing season 12 to life is a huge milestone and is a true testament to the cast and crew’s hard work and dedication throughout the last decade. We cannot wait for Hope Valley’s next chapter full of exciting characters and storytelling!”
