The Wonder Project secured rights to produce US version of a hit Australian TV show MUSTER DOGS.

“Wonder Project, the entertainment company, studio and streaming service, today announced it has secured the exclusive US rights to produce the hit Australian format MUSTER DOGS and will adapt the unscripted series under the new title WONDER DOG, produced in partnership with Hellcat, who will lead the U.S. production,” a press release announced.

WONDER DOGS will follow six ranchers as they raise and train puppies to become champion dogs. The series will film over the course of a year with the winning dog announced toward the end of the season. The series is filmed, in part, in Faith, South Dakota, where the puppies are born, Deadline said.

The Australian version has enjoyed four seasons as one of the Australian Broadcasting Corporation’s (ABC Australia) top-performing originals.

“An immediate success, the premiere season set the bar – averaging 2 million viewers per episode and delivering a 20+% audience share,” the press release said.

WONDER DOGS will be available on Prime Video via a Wonder Project subscription.

“MUNSTER DOGS has already proven itself as a powerful format, not just in ratings, but in how deeply it connects with audiences,” said Tristen Tuckfield, Wonder Project’s Head of Content Acquisition. “It’s why we at Wonder are thrilled to bring WONDER DOGS to our audience. Heartwarming, inspiring stories for the whole family are exactly what we are chasing, and WONDER DOGS delivers.”

A trailer posted to Instagram shows the pups from their earliest moments to them herding sheep and cattle as working dogs.

Alongside Wonder Project’s Tuckfield and Ashley Hannat, Hellcat CEO Pippa Lambert will executive produce the unscripted series.

WONDER DOGS adds to Wonder Project’s ever-growing slate of wholesome, original entertainment.

HOUSE OF DAVID, which topped Prime Video’s charts following its release, has been a major hit. Movieguide® awarded its star Michael Iskander the Movieguide® Grace Prize Award for Television at the 2026 Movieguide® Gala.

“I’ve been thinking a lot about why David is being highlighted so much in today’s culture. David is a guide for us, and he shows us that no matter how far away we may stray from Christ, He is going around and looking for us, and He’s calling us by name. And all we have to do is just say yes. All we have to do is just listen to His voice and say, ‘Yes Lord. I will follow you,’” the actor said while at the Movieguide® Awards this year. “So, I want you to know, God doesn’t see how weak or small you may look or how grand or how strong you may look. He sees into your heart.”

A release date for WONDER DOGS has not been announced yet.
