HALLOWEEN SIX: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS

What You Need To Know:

In HALLOWEEN SIX: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS, the famed masked murderer again returns to Haddonfield to kill victims. He kills off a family and a medical team in search of his only living relative, a newborn baby. Adding nothing new to his legacy nor to the horror genre, this movie shows Michael doing what he does best: brutally killing innocent people. Though tame compared to some recent villains, Michael Myers still serves as a celebration of evil.

More Detail:

HALLOWEEN SIX: THE CURSE OF MICHAEL MYERS dishes out scares, blood and murders in a lackluster sequel, honoring the methods of the horror genre without breaking new ground. The people of Haddonfield have been afraid of homicidal maniac Michael Myers. Though locked up in mental institutions, he always manages to escape on Halloween and return for more murders. Concerned, Haddonfield banned all celebrations of Halloween. Six years have passed since Michael’s presumed death, and almost everyone believes any threat of Michael is now gone. They decide to celebrate Halloween again, but some residents of Haddonfield are not convinced of Michael’s death. These people band together to stop Michael when he returns to Haddonfield to find and kill his only living relative, a newborn baby.

The HALLOWEEN series is effective in providing popcorn-tossing surprises and suspense. This installment is no exception. The director time-and-time again creates scenes where Michael pops out at the last moment and kills another victim. Though gruesome and bloody, Michael has now become a cartoon parody of his once chilling character from the original Halloween. Though tame compared to some recent villains, Michael Myers serves as a celebration of evil.
