STARTING UP LOVE is a romance airing on UPtv about a young finance executive, Jillian, who inherits her uncle’s mountain cabin. STARTING UP LOVE is a new romance movie airing on UPtv.
The movie opens on Jillian, a young finance executive who works for a venture capitalist company. One of her most successful portfolio projects is a cookie shop that she visits at the beginning of the movie.
Jillian believes her dedication to the company and her experience with “start-ups” make her a perfect fit for a promotion. However, the company’s board of directors disagrees. Disappointed but not deterred, Jillian vows to double down on her efforts to get promoted. After Jillian fails to secure a promotion, she leaves her venture capitalist company.
However, her plans are derailed when she receives a letter and learns her uncle has passed away, leaving her a cabin in the mountains as an inheritance. On a whim, Jillian decides she will check out the cabin to try to sell it. Upon her arrival, she learns that her uncle gave half of the cabin to a handyman named Liam. Liam knows almost everyone in town and wants to turn the cabin into a B&B to let people enjoy the beautiful countryside. Jillian, however, wants to make as much profit as possible.
As they start to fix up the place and look for potential investors, Jillian has a lightbulb moment. A wealthy investor agrees to come to look at the house and offer them more than enough money. The investor has worked with Jillian before, and his motive soon becomes clear; he’s in love with Jillian.
As the deadline approaches, Jillian receives news about her promotion that could change her mind on the cabin altogether. Eventually, Jillian must choose between Liam and the town which has become like family, or her career. Could it be too late when Liam starts to connect the puzzle pieces?
