It’s Mother’s Day and Elizabeth Baxter, played by Roma Downey, is enjoying having her whole family with her. This includes, Kari, the oldest daughter, Ashley who has lost the faith, Erin, who is married with children, and Luke who is single and looking for a serious relationship. When Elizabeth Baxter asks Kari where her husband Tim is, Kari says that Tim is at a convention and out of town. Elizabeth notes that Tim has been out of town often, which leads Kari to call up the hotel where Tim was supposed to be. The hotel has no record of Tim.

A young man, named Dirk, is interested in a beautiful woman named Angela and is in the same class as her, Professor Tim’s class. Tim, as we know, is Kari’s husband. Dirk decides to follow Angela and finds out that she and Tim are having an affair. Dirk decides to call Kari and tell her that her husband is having an affair and gives the location. When Kari arrives at the location, she sees Tim and Angela. Distraught, Kari goes to her parents’ house for a few days to figure out how to save her marriage.

Ashley comes to her parents’ house and tries to tell Kari she should divorce Tim. Kari is committed to honoring God by trying to make her marriage work, even in the midst of this affair. However, Tim tells Kari he wants a divorce and tells the other woman, he wants to be with her. Will Kari and Tim ever get back together?

Meanwhile, Luke Baxter goes to Kari’s work to try to get some things for her. When he is there, he meets Reagan. Reagan is a beautiful young woman who admits to Luke she’s single.
