What You Need To Know:
As with any cat-and-mouse story, HARD CANDY has some unexpected twists. At first, when Jeff and Hayley meet in the coffee shop, HARD CANDY seems like one of those independent movies making sympathetic figures out of pedophiles. It quickly becomes a sick tale of revenge, mutilation and vigilante justice as the young teenager gloats over her victim's predicament, and as the victim, who's obviously sicker and more twisted, tries to get free.

HARD CANDY is a sick revenge tale about a precocious 14-year-old who applies a bizarre sense of justice to a pedophile and possible murderer.
A smart, talkative teenager named Hayley goes to a local coffee shop to meet Jeff, a 32-year-old fashion photographer she met through the Internet. Before she knows it, she’s mixing alcoholic drinks at Jeff’s place in preparation for posing suggestively for his camera. The next thing Jeff knows, however, is that he’s all tied up, and Hayley has taken off his clothes and applied a sack of ice to his groin area, in preparation for castrating him. Hayley believes Jeff is the serial pedophile behind the murder of a missing teenager, and she is intent on exacting revenge.
