With the help of his partner, Yardley, and younger brother, Jack, Ward’s able to uncover things in which he never wished to. He turns towards Charlotte, a sultry death-row groupie who’s developed a relationship with Hillary, as she tends to do with the prisoners. Sending salacious letters to each prisoner, she is seen as a “sexual Barbie.”

With the others tagging along, Ward goes to the prison to get information from Hillary, but the short length of Charlotte’s dress distracts him. Time and time again this happens, but it’s Brother Jack who develops a crush on Charlotte. Sordid truths come out about each character during the movie. Multiple times Ward tries to gain information about Hillary. Eventually, he’s put in huge jeopardy as he goes into the bayous of Louisiana.

Discovering the underline truth about each character is a key point to the film. These truths are more and more pronounced throughout the movie and lead to destruction. Morbidly, two of the major characters end up dead after they believe in someone and something that was harmful.
