SINISTER 2

What You Need To Know:

SINISTER 2 is a standalone horror movie sequel. The story opens with the deputy from the previous movie, a friend of the father killed in the first movie, trying to discover where a demonic spirit will strike next. He thinks it may be an abandoned church where other murders occurred. His plan is to burn down the church and the house next to it. However, a woman and her two young boys are seeking refuge in the house, hiding from the woman’s abusive husband. The detective must save the woman and her sons from the husband and the scary demon.

SINISTER 2 is a rather uninteresting, derivative horror movie. As in other movies about demonic spirits, the evil spirit preys on children. His foot soldiers are five ghost children, who helped him murder their own families. The ghost children entice one of the mother’s sons. SINISTER 2 has a very strong occult worldview. The movie is filled with horrific violence, occult scares and strong foul language. There’s no catharsis in SINISTER 2, and its depiction of bloodthirsty children and the supernatural is abhorrent.

More Detail:

SINISTER 2 is a standalone horror movie sequel about a man trying to save a woman and her two children from a demonic spirit. The movie has a strong occult worldview, with plenty of foul language, where a final twist shows the evil spirit about to be victorious.

The story opens with the deputy from the previous movie, a friend of the father killed in the first movie, trying to discover where the demonic spirit will strike next. He thinks it may be an abandoned church where some other murders occurred. His plan is to burn down the church and the house next to it. The problem is, a woman and her two young boys are seeking refuge in the house next to the church, hiding from the woman’s abusive husband. The detective must save the woman and her sons from both the husband and the demon.

SINISTER 2 is a rather uninteresting, derivative horror movie. As in some other movies about demonic spirits, the evil spirit in this one preys on children. Thus, the spirit’s foot soldiers happen to be five ghostly children, who helped the evil spirit commit previous murders of families. The ghost children entice one of the sons to watch movies of the murders they committed. They are apparently preparing him to murder his own mom and brother.

SINISTER 2 has a very strong occult worldview. Though the evil spirit’s scheme seems to be defeated, a final twist shows that he may succeed after all. The movie is filled with horrific violence, occult scares and some strong foul language. Finally, most of the children in the movie are themselves evil. There’s no catharsis in SINISTER 2, and its depiction of bloodthirsty children and the supernatural is abhorrent.
