For example, Ashley makes new friends, and they forgive her when something embarrassing happens. Also, Ashley learns how to communicate better with her uncle as a parental figure. That said, “Spin, Doctor” has a politically correct moment, and Ashley gets in trouble for lying to her uncle about her whereabouts.

In the episode “Spin, Doctor” of the Netflix series THE EXPANDING UNIVERSE OF ASHLEY GARCIA, Ashley goes to an all girl’s sleepover that turns into a party with the purpose of getting Ashley’s first kiss. This episode is very entertaining and has a funny plot. This episode demonstrates positive elements such as friendship, forgiveness, family, and parental guidance, but there is a politically correct moment, and Ashley lies to her uncle about her whereabouts.

The episode “Spin, Doctor” starts out with Ashley and Brooke discussing Tad and their friends at her house. Ashley tells Brooke she doesn’t have many friends, so Brooke invites Ashley to a sleepover with her friend group.

Ashley asks her uncle for permission to go to the sleepover, and he says yes because it’ll be a “girls movie night.” At the sleepover, Ashley reveals she’s never had her first kiss. The girls and Brooke come up with a plan to invite all their friends over and play spin the bottle with the boys.

Meanwhile, Stick the student equipment manager for the high school football team and the star player Tad go over to Ashley’s uncle’s house to review game footage. However, Tad gets a text to go to a party, and her uncle finds out Ashley is at a party instead of a sleepover. He sends Stick to go investigate to make sure nothing bad is happening at the party.

Tad arrives at the party. He has a long conversation with Ashley in the kitchen. Afterwards, the partygoers play spin the bottle and Ashley lands on Tad, but she gets nervous and runs away. Tad’s ex-girlfriend shows up to the party, and they play spin the bottle and kiss instead. They get back together, and Ashley is devastated. Making matter worse, Ashley’s uncle walks in at the party and yells at her in front of the students about lying to him.

Will Ashley get over this embarrassment?

“Spin, Doctor” is very entertaining and has a funny, interesting plot. There are positive elements such as friendship, forgiveness, family, and parental guidance. For example, Ashley makes new friends, they forgive her when something embarrassing happens, and Ashley learns how to communicate better with her uncle as a parental figure. However, the episode also has a politically correct moment and Ashley lies to her uncle about her whereabouts.
