Although the movie contains some violent scenes, THE MOON-SPINNERS is an exciting, engaging mystery.

THE MOON-SPINNERS first shows a British girl named Nikky and her aunt arriving on the island of Crete. The two plan on enjoying their holiday at the “Moon-Spinners Inn,” owned by a man named Stratos, his younger sister, Sophia, and his young nephew, Alexis.

On the first night in Crete, Nikky meets a young English man named Mark Camford who makes plans with her to go swimming the following morning. When Mark fails to show, Nikky goes searching for him only to find him injured. Mark reveals he’s been targeted by Stratos because he knows top secret information. Nikky presses him for details, but Mark declines to answer to protect her.

Mark asks Nikky to fetch him a first aid kit at the Inn, but Stratos observes her behavior and is suspicious that she’s working with Mark. Stratos kidnaps Nikky and holds her in a windmill. Alexis and Mark rescue her and encourage her to leave the island. While preparing to move to another island, Mark reveals the secret information. He tells Nikky he’s been framed for a crime involving a jewel robbery from a well-known countess. He also tells her he thinks Stratos is the true criminal and has hidden the jewels somewhere in the bay.
