Justin Bieber Cancels Tour Dates: ‘I Need To Make My Health The Priority’

Justin Bieber announced he will be suspending the rest of his Justice World Tour after suffering a health setback.

The singer made the statement in an Instagram story, telling fans that he has been struggling with exhaustion as he resumed his tour earlier this year.

“[It] took a real toll on me,” he said. “I realized that I need to make my health the priority right now. So I’m going to take a break from touring for the time being.”

Bieber postponed concerts earlier this year after revealing he had been diagnosed with Ramsay Hunt syndrome.

Movieguide® previously reported:

Last week pop star Justin Bieber took to Instagram to ask for prayers for recovery from a rare disease called Ramsay Hunt syndrome that can cause facial paralysis.

“I hope you guys understand. I’ll just be using this time to rest and relax and get back to 100% so I can do what I was born to do, ” Bieber told fans after canceling upcoming shows for his Justice World Tour.

On his Instagram post Bieber showed how the syndrome paralyzed the right side of his face affecting his eye, nostril and mouth.

“This is pretty serious as you can see. I wish this wasn’t the case. But my body’s telling me I gotta slow down, ” the singer said.

Ramsay Hunt Syndrome is a rare disease that is caused by the same virus that causes chickenpox and shingles. Symptoms include severe rashes and paralysis in one side of the face.

Although in some rare cases patients can suffer permanent hearing loss and facial paralysis, the majority of people recover and Bieber is confident that he heal.

“[W]e don’t know how much time it’s gonna be, but it’s gonna be okay. I have hope,” Bieber told his fans.

The popstar eventually resumed his tour. Movieguide® reported:

Justin Bieber is ready to resume his tour after halting it due to a syndrome that left his face partially paralyzed.

Bieber has apparently recovered enough to start performing again, as announced by AEG.

“Justin Bieber RESUMES WORLD TOUR!!!” AEG Presents UK tweeted. “Starting a run of European festivals in Italy on 31st July, then continue across South America, South Africa, The Middle East, Asia, Australia & New Zealand then back to Europe in 2023. Details of postponed U.S shows coming soon!”

After taking a few weeks off, Bieber attempted to continue his tour, but found his exhaustion was too great and that he could not keep up with the physical demands touring takes from him.

“I’m going to be okay,” he assured fans, “but I need time to rest and get better.”

70 dates of the Justice World Tour have been canceled all over Asia, Europe, South America, and Australia.
