Former Model Gives Cancer Battle ‘to God Every Step of the Way’

Former model Nicole Weider updated her Instagram followers about her battle as she fights stage four breast cancer.
“Giving my cancer battle to God every step of the way. I never thought I would be facing cancer at my age but God knew and I believe He has a plan for me that all things will work out for my good even though I can’t see it yet,” she shared.
The post shows a video of Weider sitting in a chair receiving chemotherapy.
“Your prayers and kind words mean so much to me and give me so much encouragement! By the grace of God the cancer is down to 1/5th of what it was when I was diagnosed a couple months ago. Praise Jesus!” she wrote.
Many responded with encouragement and prayers.
“Good to hear your update on how the cancer is down to 1/5 of what it was when you were diagnosed. Praise God! Praying for your complete recovery and NED (no evidence of disease),” one person commented.
“I am believing with you for a healing miracle of the cancer in the name of Jesus,” another user said.
Weider is a former Victoria’s Secret model who left the industry to follow Jesus.
In November, she was diagnosed with stage four triple negative breast cancer, but after getting a second opinion, she learned that it is HER 2 positive breast cancer, which has a much better prognosis. She has frequently shared updates with her followers on social media.
In another post, Weider shared encouraging words about her situation.
“I’m taking each step with confidence, reassurance and hope that even through this cancer battle I’m facing God has good plans for me!” she wrote. “I am speaking out that I will be and am becoming completely cancer free soon and that my body is healing itself and it is!”
She also shared Matthew 7:7, which says, “Ask and it will be given, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you.”

“God is always on your side and rooting for you,” she wrote. “No matter what you may be facing- hardships, confrontation or any kind of challenges- Jesus is in your corner helping you. With this cancer diagnosis I have undergone some increased stress, but Jesus has given me the supernatural peace and patience I really need in this season.”
