Former child star Jonathan Lipnicki relies on God through prayer to direct the future of his career.
Now 34 years old, Lipnicki is best known as the cute blonde-headed boy in STUART LITTLE and in JERRY MAGUIRE.
“I had some really good things that happened when I was younger,” he told PEOPLE of the current state of his career. “It’s totally fine to say I’m not where I want to be career-wise…Everything we’re doing in this life is nearly impossible.”
He added, “This is the thing I want to do for the rest of my life, and I think you just have to believe it’s going to happen and do everything in your power to take action in the right direction.”
Lipnicki emphasized the importance of prayer. “I pray every night for clarity on where I need to go, and I’m confident the best is yet to come for me,” he said. “And I think you just have to believe that. If you’re going to pursue this, you’re doing yourself a disservice not to dream big.”
Currently, Lipnicki has turned his focus on independent films as well as producing.
In March, he took to Instagram to post about his time at South by Southwest in Texas to support independent films.
“SXSW in no particular order. Seeing old friends, meeting new friends, and celebrating independent filmmaking at its finest. 🎥🎬🎬” he captioned in the post.
One user commented, “Your face is instantly recognizable. I still can’t believe how much you’ve grown. I know you hear that ALOT. But I want you to know you’re amazing.” Another person added, “Coolest crew ever 🏆🔥🔥.”
Lipnicki also serves as an executive producer for film production company Buffalo 8.

When Lipnicki isn’t working on films, he uses his platform to spread positivity. In a previous Instagram post, he shared his desire to bring hope to the world.
“What I’m holding is living proof that there’s still hope for a better future. 🌍✨” he said while holding a printed-out Instagram comment that reads “Inspiring and hopeful.”
He continued, “In a world often clouded by negativity, this simple gesture — a Comment for Peace — is proof that kindness and unity still shine through. This past year hasn’t been easy. But this? This gives me hope.”
Lipnicki’s story is a reminder that even as we are praying through and trying to figure out our direction in life, we can still encourage one another and spread hope.
