Candace Cameron Bure shared a Bible verse that helps her find peace and trust in the Lord when her world feels chaotic and out of her control.

“Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and mind as you live in Christ Jesus,” reads Philippians 4: 6-7, the verses Bure shared on Instagram.

“In moments when the world feels especially heavy, I come back to this verse,” the actress explained in the caption of the post. “Prayer may not always change the circumstances right away, but it changes us as we lean into God’s presence, peace, and promises. ❤️

As a public figure, especially as an outspoken Christian in today’s environment, Bure has her fair share of chaos and worries in her life. Whether unsubstantiated claims against her or angst over the future of her career, Bure could chose stress, but because she constantly leans on the Lord, she lives a life of peace, even when the world is messy, like during the pandemic.

“God’s word is so important because I want to rely on God’s truth and not the things that are swirling around in my head,” Bure said in August of 2020 when COVID sent the entertainment industry into major turmoil. “Because we all have fears, we all wordy so much. It’s hard not to right now, but God reminds us not to worry.”

Even beyond seeking peace in this chaotic world, Bure stays in the Word to keep herself humble and her attention on what really  matters. She wants to help keep her fans focused on God too, which is why she now only works on projects that align with her faith and beliefs.

“My faith is really the foundation of who I am,” the actress told Fox News. “It’s so important to me, and it’s always a part of me, whether it’s at home and privately, or when I’m reading the Bible in Bible study. But also at work, and the choices I make within work, and the companies I choose to work with and the projects that I choose to take on.”

“I live by faith in everything, in everything that I do, and every aspect of my life. So it’s not just something that I rely on or is a crutch. I mean, it is genuinely who I am,” she added. “How does it help me? It’s hard to say because it’s just a part of my being.”

It is encouraging to see Bure remain so rooted in the Bible and use her talents to bring light into this world.
