Christian artist Tauren Wells is “so excited” to share his new music with the world.
“I’m so excited about these songs,” the artist and pastor told PEOPLE. “I feel like it’s time for them to move into the world.”
Wells called his new collection of songs “more worshipful,” adding, “I think that all of music can be worship, and I would say that all of my other albums have been directed to glorifying God, but this particular batch of songs just seems to put God and His church front and center. It’s definitely been front and center in my life.”
“I get to co-pastor Church of Whitestone with my wife, Lorna, and it’s beautiful to see people, their spiritual lives being awakened and their affections for God and for each other being stirred up,” he continued. “So much of the songs are coming out of that right now.”

Wells shares four sons with his wife — Kanaan, 12, Lawson, 9, Navy, 7, and Banner, 4 — and says they all enjoy his new music.
“I have the honor of them loving my music and I’ve been playing all of the new songs for them,” he shared. “’Do you like this? Do you like that?’ Thankfully, they love it all. They’re honest, so they’ll let me know if it’s not their favorite.”
In addition to new music, Wells has some other exciting projects coming up, including hosting this year’s GMA Dove Awards.
“Hosting the Dove Awards in 2023 and 2024 was such an incredible experience. I’m so excited to run it back this year when we bring it to Bridgestone Arena,” he said in a statement. “It’s going to be a great night!”
The singer is also currently on a book tour, promoting his debut book Joy Bomb: Unleash Jesus’s Explosive Joy for an Extraordinary Life.
“It is definitely a book to put people on offense, not defense, because we all know our joy is under attack,” Wells told CCM Magazine. “If you think that all that there is to see is what you can see, then you have not seen all that there is to see.”
He continued, “A lot of us don’t find Jesus because we’re on a truth quest. We find Jesus because we’re on a happiness quest. So I hope that this message gets people to where true happiness is. And that’s in Jesus.”
There’s no word yet on when fans can expect Wells’ new album, but in the meantime, he’s got plenty of exciting things in the works!
