Pop star Gwen Stefani shared the importance of spending time in prayer ahead of the Christmas season.

“It is important this holiday season to spend time in prayer,” Stefani said in a video in partnership with the Hallow prayer app. “That is what Christmas is all about, letting God into our hearts and letting Jesus bring us his peace. Download Hallow today and join me and millions of others in praying every day this advent and Christmas season on Hallow.”

She encouraged her viewers to take it slow this season.

“It’s such a special time to reflect, pray, and make room in your heart for Jesus. 🙏✝️💜 “ she wrote in the caption.  “The @hallowapp Advent challenge is called Be Still, and together we’ll learn how to find stillness amidst the chaos and embrace peace even when our lives are so busy. 🎄 Join me for Pray25: Be Still on Hallow. 🤍✨gx “

The Hallow app is also partnering with celebrities Chris Pratt, Jonathan Roumie, Sr. Miriam James Heidland, Fr. John Burns, Fr. Pierre Touissant and Mother Natalia.

Roumie recently read Psalms 46 for his Hallow partnership. The Psalm is this year’s Advent challenge theme on Hallow.

“I should memorize a lot more Psalms and prayers than I have, but my brain just refuses to hold them in. Little by little, maybe [it will happen] this season,” he joked in the video.

Pratt shared on Dec. 1, “The words ‘Be Still and Know that I am God’ are words I recite in my head every single day. And I’m excited this Christmas to help you bring those words into your own life as part of the @hallowapp prayer challenge leading up to Christmas, Be Still.”

Pratt is guiding listeners through the book The Ruthless Elimination of Hurry.

“Man, you guys, it’s so good. Our lives are moving so fast, we just need to take a minute, especially at Christmas, and focus on the reason for the season, which is for sure not cookies. Join me in praying every day this Christmas season on Hallow,” he shared.

“The real reason I love Christmas is so much more important than [cookies and presents]. It’s because we are celebrating the greatest gift God has ever given to us, His son, Jesus Christ…Together we can focus on what’s really important about this extraordinary season.”

Pratt, Roumie and Stefani also partnered with Hallow last year. Hallow users can participate in the Advent challenge now on the app.
