New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd has dedicated his life to Christ.

“I’ve been tested each and every way in life these past months, and I can’t wait to tell this testimony,” Boyd wrote in a recent Instagram post.

He then referenced Proverbs 3:5, which reads, “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.”

“From shoulder injury/surgery to resetting everything, learning to walk again, and MULTIPLE cardiovascular surgeries and cuts on the body after being shot,” he continued. “My life is devoted to Christ. That is what this platform will only be used for now; with Love and Unwavering Faith!”

Boyd concluded that post by asking for help from pastors to have someone mentor him in his new walk of faith.

“I need help from everyone, please tag @philipamitchell As someone who devoted my life to Christ this is a priority. I need help/mentor in Christ, I’ve never had that around with correct guidance/influence!…I’ll continue to pray and pursue this on my end! -Love🙏🏾💙,” the cornerback concluded.

In a post the next day, Boyd celebrated that God came through for him and provided someone to help lead his spiritual growth.

“I just wanted to say how great God was. I made a post like two days ago that, you know, I’m following God’s desires at all costs, over mine, my career, or anything,” he said. “I made a post about, you know, needing help from [Pastor] Philip [Mitchell], and getting in contact. And I checked my phone and saw that Christhlete posted the game, and I kept clicking, and like, this is just God’s word, because I sat here and prayed about this.”

“Like, I’ve prayed about this and fasted about this, and this is just God’s word,” Boyd declared. “And like, having help, you know, this is just me, like, being able to tell y’all when you fast, pray and really put God’s desires first over everything, no matter what, like He begins to work instantly.”

Boyd commented on the post from Christhlete and said, “Brought tears to my eyes the minute I read this…God is the greatest, and I am beyond thankful for the support! I’m so thankful!”

Boyd knows that the post from Christhlete was God’s divine intervention as he seeks to grow closer to Jesus and explore his newfound faith.
