DAVID is officially available to stream!
“DAVID has ignited the imaginations of families worldwide. As the #1 audience-rated movie of 2025 on Rotten Tomatoes, we’re thrilled to extend its inspiring reach to millions more via the Angel streaming platform for our Guild members,” Jordan Harmon, co-founder and President of Angel, said in a press release.
He continued, “This uplifting retelling of one of history’s greatest tales is the ideal family film to enjoy together from the comfort of home.”
DAVID tells the story of David in the Bible, who takes on the giant Goliath with just a sling, some stones and his “unshakable faith.”

“Pursued by power and driven by purpose, his journey tests the limits of loyalty, love, and courage — culminating in a battle not just for a crown, but for the soul of a kingdom,” a description of the movie reads.
DAVID premiered in theaters in December, racking up almost $80 million at the domestic box office. The movie also had the highest-grossing faith-based animated theatrical opening of all time, beating out Angel Studios’ THE KING OF KINGS, as well as hit movie THE PRINCE OF EGYPT.
“Families are searching for values-driven films that honor hope,” Brandon Purdie, head of theatrical at Angel, said in a statement. “We greatly value the support of our outstanding exhibitors and look forward to a robust, extended theatrical run as this popular animated musical continues to warm hearts and inspire families.”
Movieguide® reviewed DAVID positively, praising its “powerful biblical worldview,” and its “next-level animation and engaging music.”
“The story sticks to the Bible, often honors God, and has Christian allusions,” the review continued.
Christian artist Phil Wickham voiced the titular character, which he called “a dream come true” in a recent interview with Billboard.
“I hope that this DAVID movie is just another kind of hinge point in people’s lives to help them understand or see maybe even for the first time that they’re not alone, that like David says, that the Lord is my shepherd, that we can place our lives in the hands of the good shepherd and that he cares for his sheep,” he said of the movie. “I hope people are blessed by this movie and not just in an entertaining way, but a deep spiritual way, too.”
DAVID is now available to stream on Angel.com or the Angel streaming app.
