Social media influencer Brittany Lynn Lutz encourages her followers to find the meaning in our pain.
“Is there something painful in your life that you’re begging God to take away?” she asked in a recent Instagram video. “When I was younger, for years, I would get debilitating migraines. I would go blind, I would lose feeling in my hands and my legs, I needed to be in a dark, cold, quiet room, and it was just awful. I went to the doctor because they were happening way too often, and they actually thought I might even have a tumor on my pituitary gland. I did not.”
Lutz explained that it turned out to be “something out of alignment” at the top of her spine.
“My spinal cord was being pinched, and as a result, I was having these horrific migraines,” she continued. “And so, it made me think the other day, how often we ask God and we beg Him to take away the pain…the Lord was showing me the other day that if He takes away the pain, we’ll never fix what’s out of alignment.”
Lutz shared, “Sometimes it’s actually in His mercy that He allows us to feel the pain of our life…because something’s out of alignment. If He just takes away the pain, we will never actually become aligned with what He wants for us and who He’s called us to be.”

Lutz often shares encouraging messages like this on social media. In one recent post, she wrote about the importance of trusting in God over our own fears.
“Fear cannot be present if God is,” she shared. “It puts you in a place of responsibility that you weren’t assigned to and puts a weight on you that you aren’t equipped to carry.”
Lutz continued, “I’m reminding you of this because I have suffered so many times in my life when I didn’t have to by making or not making decisions from a place of fear. That doesn’t mean the right decision won’t be a little scary sometimes. But something being scary vs it being rooted in a spirit of fear are two very different things. Fear has NEVER made my life better. He has NEVER steered me wrong. Just because the decision is hard doesn’t mean it’s wrong. He is trustworthy. I promise.”
The influencer also urged followers to “design” their lives with intention this year, writing in another post, “May this be the year that you design your life instead of just letting life happen to you…May you think about the you that will wake up tomorrow and show her the same love you show the you of today! That mindset shift has changed my life and I’ll never go back!”
Lutz’s social media posts serve as encouragement to place our faith in God, especially when times are hard.
