Boise State Football Player Pregames With Prayer: ‘He’s Leading Me’

Boise State football safety Seyi Oladipo is not only making plays on the field, but he’s also proclaiming the name of Jesus.
Before Boise’s match-up against Portland State, Oladipo took a knee in prayer in the end zone, and the video of the moment posted by Boise State FCA shared Philippians 4:6: “Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”
Oladipo doesn’t shy away from his faith in Jesus.
His Instagram bio reads, “Disciple of Jesus Christ,” and many of his posts include something about his faith.
“God’s Grace motivates our Behavior. Our Behavior Doesn’t manufacture His Grace,” he wrote in one post.
In another post, Oladipo wrote, “If you can trust God to save you for eternity, you can trust him to lead you for a lifetime.”
“You Cannot define MY life by studying where I’ve been. If you wanna understand me, study where HE’s leading me,” another one reads.
Oladipo is now a senior at Boise State and is on a mission to finish this season on a high to maybe achieve the goal of playing in the NFL.
In his junior year, Oladipo “saw action in all 14 games, starting 11…finished the year with 70 tackles and 8.5 TFLs…registered a season-high 10 tackles against UCF (Sept. 9)…tallied four total tackles and a solo TFL against North Dakota (Sept. 16) and Memphis (Sept. 30)…had seven tackles and an interception at Fresno State (Nov. 4)…recorded 3.0 TFLs and forced a fumble against New Mexico (Nov. 11)…made five tackles in the MW Championship win over UNLV, including a solo sack and 1.5 TFLs (Dec. 2).”
