CeCe Winans believes that the Holy Spirit is a critical ingredient to staying grounded in faith.
“You have to understand the necessity of the Holy Spirit. To me, it’s not an option in my life. Not if I want to keep peace,” Winans said in a segment of BETTER TOGETHER.
“Not if I want to have hope,” she continued. “Whatever you have, when you pour it out, God multiplies it. I think there’s a lot of empty places that God is waiting on us to fill.”
She explained that some women feel sorry for themselves that they can’t have children, but if they have the Holy Spirit, they still have something to give.
“There are people that you can pour into, that you can say a kind word to, that you can give wisdom to, and God is going to multiply that,” the “Goodness of God” singer said. “You’re always useful. Everybody has something that God wants to use.”

Winans includes the Holy Spirit in all of her decisions, especially when it comes to parenting.
“I really had to understand that I needed the Holy Spirit to lead me and guide me in cultivating my relationships with my children so that they could have a stronger relationship with him,” Winans said on TBN previously.
She also admitted to CBN, “The one thing I would do differently if I had the chance to go back and raise my children again would be to invite the Holy Spirit into every moment.”
The singer looks to Christ on how to live, but it takes trust.
“You got to trust God with your past. You got to trust him with your present,” Winans said on another episode of BETTER TOGETHER. “You got to trust him with your future.”
“The plans of God doesn’t always line up with ours, but they’re always right, you know?” she said. “And that’s one of the beautiful things to me about serving God, is that I can rest in knowing that nothing takes him by surprise. And it takes me a minute…but if you’re hit with something, your first response is kind of out of your flesh.”
But once you remember how big God is, you can step into that trust. She wishes she could tell her past self to put more trust in God.
“I would just say, ‘Chill out,’” she said in 2024. “You know, you worry about things because, for some reason, you don’t think God is going to handle it. And I can look back and say, ‘Man, everything I had to face, He was right there, and he really did step up to the plate and He took care of it.’”
With the Holy Spirit and a lot of trust, you’ll be on the right path.
