Deion Sanders Promises to ‘Talk Life Into’ Fans With New Talk Show

By Movieguide® Contributor

Football icon Deion Sanders is giving fans the chance to get to know him a little better.

“The NFL legend will host WE GOT TIME TODAY for Tubi, the first original talk show for the Fox-owned, ad-supported streamer. The coach of the Colorado Buffaloes football team will host the series with former ENTERTAINMENT TONIGHT host Rocsi Diaz,” Deadline reported.

“I’m stepping into the studio to have real conversations with people from all walks of life,” Sanders said of this new opportunity. “This show is about tapping into the culture. We’re going to laugh, debate, inspire and most importantly, we got time to talk life into our viewers while keeping things 100. I couldn’t do this with anyone else except for the Rocsi Diaz, who I’m sure will keep me on my toes, and of course my friends over at Tubi, who I’ve been a big fan of for a long time now.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to co-host this new talk show with such a legend,” Diaz added. “Deion and I definitely have unique POV’s that we’re excited to bring to the table when we interview guests and engage with audiences. I can’t wait to explore everything and have real, authentic conversations that the culture is missing, from fun to serious and like Deion said, you can count on us to keep it 100.”

Tubi promises that the show will dive into the realms of “news, culture, entertainment and sports, all through the lens of Sanders’ larger than life energy and complemented Diaz’s equally authentic personality.” WE GOT TIME TODAY will also feature interviews with “trendsetters” and celebrity guests.

“At Tubi, we’re committed to delivering engaging content that resonates with viewers by reflecting the diversity of our audience. WE GOT TIME TODAY rejuvenates the traditional talk show format with a loose energy that showcases Deion’s dynamic personality along with his stellar chemistry with Rocsi. This mix of real talk with the pulse of pop culture is very much on brand for Tubi and we expect it will surely spark conversation,” Adam Lewinson, Chief Content Officer at Tubi, added.

WE GOT TIME TODAY’s first episode will debut in November “and will feature 20 one-hour episodes each Tuesday on a weekly cadence.”

Movieguide® previously reported on Sanders’ faith:

Deion Sanders, former NFL cornerback turned head coach for the University of Colorado, took a stand for his faith in a recent Instagram post.

“JESUS!” Sanders captioned the photos.

“Sex won’t satisfy you. Fame won’t satisfy you. Drugs won’t satisfy you. Money won’t satisfy you. Alcohol won’t satisfy you. Success won’t satisfy you. Life is empty without Jesus. He is the only one who can satisfy your heart. Amen,” the first photo declared.

The second photo stated, “Pray until you see a breakthrough. Pray until the chains fall off. Pray until you hear God’s voice.”
