Disney’s Marvel Studios Plans Movies, TV Program with Muslim and Other Superheroes

Disney’s Marvel Studios announced recently that it will be releasing a TV program, Ms. Marvel, on Disney’s new streaming network, Disney Plus, starring a Muslim female superhero. Also, Marvel’s new ETERNALS superhero movie, set for Nov. 6, 2020, will feature a superhero who has a child with his male partner.

This prompts the question, when is Marvel going to produce another movie or television program with a Christian superhero, like Netflix’s DAREDEVIL series, or like Nightcrawler in the X-Men movie X2:  X-MEN UNITED?

Marvel Studio President Kevin Feige, the producer in charge of all the new Marvel Studios movies and television programs for Disney, said on ABC’s GOOD MORNING AMERICA that the ETERNALS movie and its sequels will have “the most diverse Marvel’s cast yet, including an openly gay character.”

The character’s sexuality will be presented as “no big deal,” he said. “He’s married, he’s got a family, and that is just part of who he is.”

Also, Actress Tessa Thompson, who plays Valkyrie in Marvel’s THOR movies, says her character will identify as a lesbian in the future. As the new female leader of Asgard, she said, Valkyrie “needs to find her queen.”

Actor Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man in the new Spider-Man movies, said in July that he’s open to his character coming out as homosexual, even though Spidey has always been romantically interested in girls.

The MS. MARVEL television series on Disney Plus is adapted from the Marvel comic book where a Muslim teenager living in New Jersey gets the okay from Captain Marvel, aka Carol Danvers, to take on her identity and become a superhero.

“It’s incredibly exciting for us!” Feige gushed about the series.

The 80% of the population who have faithful common sense will not be so enthused about these silly, propagandistic new developments in the superhero entertainment universe!

Parents should think twice about letting their children see TV programs and movies that promote solipsistic behavior and downplay the extremely violent history and messages of the Muslim faith.
