Drew Scott Loves Being a Girl Dad: ‘She’s a Little Sweetheart’

PROPERTY BROTHERS star Drew Scott shared a snapshot into his life as a girl dad following the birth of his daughter, Piper, in May.
“Piper, she’s a little sweetheart,” Drew told Jennifer Hudson. “We have Parker and Piper, PMP Music Factory I call them. She’s such a little sweetheart. She’s so different than Parker. Parker’s only two years earlier but I forgot everything I learned with him so it’s like starting over again fresh. ‘Like how do I maximize changing a diaper efficiently?’”
As Piper continues to grow through the early stages, Drew revealed that she is now able to tell him apart from his twin brother Jonathan. Jonathan, meanwhile, loves being an uncle.
“Parker, as soon as I show up, he’s so excited, he wants to dance with me and read,” Jonathan said. “Now Piper has officially started to recognize me because, for the first several months, she was confused as to why daddy shaved.”
“And got older looking and more wrinkled and more gray,” Drew added jokingly.
Drew and his wife, Linda Phan, began having kids two years ago after he and Jonathan decided to take a step back from work to have a more balanced life. Though parenting has been hard, Drew is so thankful that he took the step to start a family.

“[Parenthood] unlocks a side you didn’t know you had,” Scott described. “You think you know. I have this deep love for Linda but then, all of a sudden, that’s the shallow pool. I’m not saying shallow with Linda, I love Linda, but there’s a whole other depth to Linda and my love together with Parker.
“It’s amazing just seeing his face when he looks at you, like, once he started focusing in and he locks eyes with you — oh, your heart melts,” he continued. “It’s amazing.”
