A QUIET PLACE PART III is officially confirmed with Emily Blunt and Cillian Murphy set to return.

Millicent Simmons and Noah Jupe will also return. John Krasinki will return to write, produce and direct. New cast members include Katy O’Brian, Jack O’Connell and Jason Clarke. The release date is set for July 30, 2027, Deadline reported on March 16.

The franchise has made $900 million worldwide across its three movies: A QUIET PLACE, A QUIET PLACE PART II and A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE.

“So proud to be a part of this A Quiet Place Family…old and new!” Krasinski captioned a social media post showing copies of the script printed with each actor’s name. “Here we go!”

Krasinski included the “Hamilton” song “One Last Time” in his post, which suggests that this will be the final chapter in the franchise.

Variety reported production will begin this spring in New York.

In Summer 2024, the third movie, DAY ONE, with Lupita Nyong’o and Joseph Quinn, debuted to $52.2 million domestic and made $262 million global.

After a few days in theaters, DAY ONE became the highest-grossing horror movie of the year.

“The enduring appeal of the trio of films, the most recent entry serving as an origin story, signals that A QUIET PLACE has enough power to fill seats at multiplexes based on the strength of its name,” Variety reported in 2024. “It joins the company of other big horror properties, like THE CONJURING, PARANORMAL ACTIVITY and INSIDIOUS, all of which remain popular but have experienced some diminishing returns over the course of many sequels and spinoffs.”

What the A QUIET PLACE franchise has that these other horror films don’t is moral values and family bonds. Now on its fourth run, it’s more successful than ever.

Part of Movieguide®’s review of DAY ONE reads, “A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE tells a scary, thrilling and poignant story. It has the scary thrills the first two QUIET PLACE movies had. Like them, it has lots of heart.”

“In fact, the movie has one of the most powerfully poignant endings in recent years. DAY ONE also has strong moral, redemptive themes of compassion and sacrifice. At one point Sam and Eric find sanctuary in a Christian cathedral.”

While A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE breaks off the main characters and storylines, PART III likely picks up with them. Hopefully, it will continue to display wholesome values and family bonds in A QUIET PLACE: PART III.
