FAST & FURIOUS Actor Says This Is How to ‘Bring Masculinity Back’
By Movieguide® Contributor
FAST & FURIOUS actor Lucas Black is sharing how to “bring masculinity back.”
“Oh yeah, baby. We’re at the men’s retreat. Six hundred men right here worshipping Jesus and speaking the name of Jesus over every area of their life. It’s amazing,” Black said in a video posted on Instagram while at the Ironmen Summit.
The next part of the video included Black’s “favorite parts of Ironmen,” which include the fellowship, activities like axe throwing and “a lot of good food,” like wild game.
“It was a great time of worship and fellowship with 600 men at our retreat this past weekend,” he said of the retreat, which is inspired by Proverbs 27:17. “It’s encouraging to know these men are seeking God first and want to put Jesus first over area of their life. This is how we #bringmasculinityback. We wrote our lies and darkest secrets on the light bulbs and put them on the cross. Jesus washes us clean and makes us righteous with His blood He shed on the cross.”

Black often uses social media to tell others about Jesus and encourage men to embrace masculinity through his hunting and fishing content.
“My favorite time of the year is here,” he posted along with a video of him fishing. “This is when the giant bass show up. God’s order amazes me every time I get on the water.”
He even owns a clothing brand, 77x Brand, to help spark conversations that will spread the gospel.
The brand is “based off the scripture Matthew 18:22 [when] Peter comes and asks Jesus, how many times should I forgive? Seven times? Jesus says, not seven times, but 77 times,” Black explains on his website. “We should be continuously forgiving. We don’t want to harbor bitterness in our heart. That’s how we are held in bondage. We’ve received forgiveness from Christ and so we are. It’s our requirement for Christians, as God’s holy people. We have to brand our hearts with forgiveness in order to live free.”
