Movieguide® is excited to report that Alex and Stephen Kendrick (FIREPROOF, COURAGEOUS, and FACING THE GIANTS) will be shooting their fifth feature movie this year.

With successful faith-based movies such as Epiphany Prize winners FIREPROOF, which focused on marriage, and COURAGEOUS, which highlighted fatherhood, their next movie will unpack another vital topic that’s yet to be revealed.

Kendrick Brothers Productions has already impacted the media in such a positive way. They are a faith-based company with the intention to honor God and change individuals’ lives through movies and books.

Their movie FIREPROOF was the Number One independent movie in 2007. It was top rated on Yahoo and generated $33.4 million at the box office. Two books associated with the movie, THE LOVE DARE and a novelization of the movie, landed on New York Times bestseller list. In fact, THE LOVE DARE was Number One for 14 weeks and remained a New York Times best seller for four years. Also, FIREPROOF on DVD sold more than 3.5 million units in over 75 countries. Proceeds from the movie were used to build an amazing 82-acre sports park and fund mission trips and plant churches all around the world.

The Kendricks’ fourth movie COURAGEOUS gained the coveted A+ Cinemascore rating in 2011 and premiered as the Number One selling DVD in the United States. It went on to make $34.5 million at the box office, earning the second highest box office among movies playing in 1,500 theaters or less.

The production schedule for the fifth movie is currently set for six weeks of shooting later this year.

Alex and Stephen Kendrick said they’re very excited about the theme, unique storyline, and journey the characters will experience throughout the story. The movie is set to be released in theaters sometime in 2015.

Alex and Stephen are asking believers to pray for continued guidance, blessings, and favor during preproduction and the further development of the storyline. They are asking for God’s inspiration, creativity, and discernment as they develop the characters and craft the scenes. Please pray for God to use this movie to transform countless lives, restore broken families, and greatly impact our nation.
