After taking year off of touring, for KING + COUNTRY returned to the music world, starting with their newest single “World On Fire.”
“WORLD ON FIRE 🌎🔛🔥 featuring @taylorhillmusic, is the first single of our next chapter, OUT NOW,” the band wrote on Instagram. “This year at home has allowed us to re-create, to be with family, pray, recalibrate, and to look to the future with clarity, exuberance and passion. It’s our prayer that is sparks hope within you – a hope that we can carry into our communities and a world in need. We can’t wait to embark on this joyous journey with you.”

The song comes as a first look at their upcoming album which is set to release in 2026. While the Smallbone brothers have taken a step back from music in the past year, they have stayed extremely busy during that time, working on projects such as their upcoming documentary NO TURNING BACK.
“The powerful true story of Joel and Luke Smallbone, the Australian music duo and four-time Grammy Award winners. In this intimate documentary, the Smallbones pull back the curtain on their extraordinary journey from Australia to America, through nearly a decade of failed starts, industry rejections, personal health struggles and navigating the ever-changing world of music,” a synopsis of the documentary reads.
The duo has also announced they plan to come back to tour this Christmas with their “A Drummer Boy Christmas: The Live Experience.”
“It’s like this grand reset every year,” Joel Smallbone said of for KING + COUNTRY’s annual Christmas concerts. “That there is forgiveness, redemption, love, hope, and joy and that there is this baby that literally flips the world on its head…it’s pivotal to our humanity.”
The return to this tour comes as the brothers released a movie version of the experience last advent season.
“We thought to ourselves, how could we bring the Christmas tour to everybody all at once?” Luke said last year. “We filmed the movie UNSUNG HERO and we thought…what if we were to take that same crew and bring them to a concert and film the concert?”
“The vision was to be able to bring what we do to the people as seamlessly as possible….Our hope was to bring a front row view to the concert, and in theaters you’ve got a great sound system,” he added. “You’re getting the greatest viewpoint that exists. Live concerts are expensive, and we wanted to give a cost-effective way to experience the concert and make a Christmas memory with your family.”
While the past year has been extremely important for for KING + COUNTRY, fans of the band will be excited that the brothers are now returning to music. Their newest song is already available.
