‘I’m So Blessed’: Kristin Chenoweth Marries Josh Bryant

By Movieguide® Contributor

Kristin Chenoweth and her longtime boyfriend, Josh Bryant, have tied the knot.

“I’m so blessed,” Chenoweth said in a statement to PEOPLE about the wedding. “I have been a self-proclaimed bachelorette my whole life. I was never going to get married. I even got engaged before and couldn’t do it. Until I met Josh. Then I was like, ‘Why would I ever let this guy go?’”

The couple got married in Dallas, Texas, over Labor Day weekend.

Chenoweth posted photos from the special day on Instagram, including her light pink reception dress.

“My forever,” she wrote under a picture of her and Bryant kissing.

Chenoweth and Bryant met in 2016 but didn’t start dating until 2018. They got engaged in 2021.

“I guess it was the right time,” the actress said. “God knew what he was doing with that.”

“The love that we have with God blessing us is a dream come true for me. It feels perfect,” Bryant added.

The couple spoke about their relationship and engagement in an interview with Vogue.

“I’ve been the runaway bride,” Chenoweth joked, referring to a previous engagement to Marc Kudisch. “Now that I’ve found him, I won’t let him go. I will race to greet him at the altar.”

Bryant agreed, adding, “Kristin is my world, my everything, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with her.”

Movieguide® previously reported on the recent death of Chenoweth’s biological mother:

Kristin Chenoweth recently announced the death of her biological mother, Lynn.

“The angel that brought me into this world has passed,” Chenoweth wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post. “Her name is Lynn. Aka Mamalynn. The ten plus years I knew her were magic. So many things became clear to me about myself when I met her and came to really know her. Those of us who knew her loved her light. Her love of music and all things artistic. An artist herself!”

She continued, “Mamalynn prayed for me every year on my birthday, hoping I was having the most perfect life, which of course, I was. I snuck away and prayed for her too, wishing that someday I would be allowed [to] tell her ‘thank you.’ Which I did on 12/12/12. A beautiful day!”

“We didn’t leave anything unsaid in the end,” Chenoweth finished. “I will miss her till the end of my days. But then, I will fly into the sky, where she will be waiting to greet me, and she will say, ‘start singing Babygirl!’ And I will.”
