Gospel legend CeCe Winans shared a powerful message with people about establishing a relationship with Jesus.
“I fell in love with Jesus at a really, really young age…and I got to know Him personally, and all I can say is that He has made all the difference in my life,” she said in an episode of TBN’s BELIEVE FOR IT.
Winans continued, “When Jesus shows up, everything changes. If you’re hopeless, He gives you hope. If you’re down, He lifts you up. And He gives you life. He is a life-giver. So I always tell people, it’s not about religion; it’s about a relationship. When you ask Jesus into your heart and you allow Him to be the Lord of your life, then He’s going to change your life, and He’ll give you abundant life, and I love it because His love never ends. It’s eternal life.”
“If you say yes to Jesus, it will be the best decision you have ever made, and the best one you will ever make for the rest of your life,” the singer finished. “I guarantee you that.”

Winans frequently shares her thoughts on faith; in a recent episode of TBN’s BETTER TOGETHER, she counseled viewers to embrace forgiveness, as its “God’s way.”
“I think a lot of times, we hold on to offense because we’re so into ourselves,” she said. “You know, it’s always me, me, me, me, me. And the Word tells us to think of other people.”
She added, “We all have to come to the resolve that we’re going to do it God’s way,” she concluded. “If we’re going to reap the benefits of the book, then we’re going to have to do it His way, and not some of the time, but every single time.”
The gospel singer just wrapped up a 20-day “Pray the Word” campaign, which took place in the days leading up to Easter.
“My heart has been really heavy for our world and everything that’s happening around us,” she said in a video posted to her social media platforms. “I truly believe that now is the time that we need to come together to seek the Lord.”
She continued, “When we pray the word of God it ensures that we’re always praying the heart of God. And that’s what we need right now so desperately. So, I hope you’ll take a few moments to pray along with me for our world, for our communities and for one another.”
Winans’ recent comments are a reminder of how powerful choosing to pursue a relationship with Jesus can be.
